Women: Don't Miss This GREAT Opportunity

NEW Leadership™ Wisconsin
What is the purpose of the NEW Leadership™ Wisconsin Summer Institute? The NEW Leadership™ Wisconsin is an award-winning, nationally recognized, bi-partisan program for emerging women interested in public office and/or leadership roles. It is an intensive three ½ day residential summer institute on the campus of Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, where students will meet women in a variety of roles including public office, senior leaders in business, experts in leadership, and explore ideas about advocacy, diversity, networking, public speaking, self-branding and participate in hands-on skills building exercises. The NEW Leadership™ is scheduled for June 25-June 28, 2013. Mount Mary College is the only post-secondary educational institution hosting this program in Wisconsin.
This program provides the opportunity to meet incredible women from around the state who will mentor, coach, and teach you important skills for the future. The residential nature of the program creates an intensive learning experience that cannot be replicated with a series of one-day programs. Students and resident faculty live together in dormitory rooms during the NEW Leadership™ program. The residential component encourages friendship and commodore among the participants, building mentoring relationships and extends the learning experience beyond the formal program sessions, as conversations continue over meals and throughout the evening.
It is a once in a lifetime chance to meet other college women from across the state, make new friends, learn new skills, and become a future leader for your community.
Since 1991, the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) has offered the NEW Leadership
program as a strategy for getting young women into the political pipeline for public leadership. NEW Leadership Wisconsin has adapted this program for emerging women leaders. Here is more information about the program, originally started at Rutgers University: http://www.cawp.rutgers.edu/education_training/NEWLeadership/index.php
