5k Trail Run in the Prairie
10:30am Registration; 11:00am Start
Ceresco Prairie
In honor of Earth Week, EGOR and ROC will be hosting a 5K trail run. Suggested $5 donation. All funds will be donated to the South Woods Parks Association. Registration starts at 10:30 a.m. and the run will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Habitat for Humanity Garden Box Building

Join the OCE and Oshkosh Habitat for Humanity in building garden boxes for the Oshkosh Community Gardens that will allow people to grow fresh, local, sustainable food.  E-mail scottdw@ripon.edu to sign up.

Bee Documentary & Honey Tasting

EGOR will be sponsoring a showing of a honey bee documentary. The documentary will be followed by a brief discussion and a question and answer period about the bees on the Prairie. There will also be different varieties of honey for people to taste if they would like. Stop by to get all your bee questions answered, to watch a documentary that environmentalists are buzzing about, and to taste some awesome honey!

Cleaning out at the end of the year?  Donate non-perishable food items, extra school supplies, and used but still usable clothes.  Donations will go to the Ripon Community Food Pantry, the Blue Mountain Project, and the Ripon Community Thrift Store.  Green donation boxes will be located in all of the residence halls.

Samara Hamze, Ripon College’s new Sustainability Coordinator, will speak about ways to reduce the amount of trash you generate.  Samara will conduct an on-site trash audit to determine what items in the trash should end up in recycling.  Come and learn just what can be recycled.
