Outreach 360

Dare to Dream Summer Program 2013
Building Futures. Transforming Lives

Outreach360 is committed to building the futures of children living in disadvantaged situations by providing creative and meaningful education. By shifting perspective beyond traditional academics we open up a world with endless possibilities and create opportunities for the children we serve to transform their own lives. Part of our fundamental curriculum for transforming lives and moving out of poverty focuses on skills like the ability to communicate with others, learn leadership skills, make decisions, formulate plans, build self-reliance, overcome challenges, process hardship and contribute to society. The Outreach360 Dare to Dream Program focuses on teaching our students the values and skills they need to be successful in life and make a significant difference in their communities. Dare to Dream culminates in empowering our students to dream by guiding them to visualize opportunities and possibilities in life while ultimately eliminating the possibility of poverty from their futures.

Outreach360 Dare to Dream volunteers will be leading and participating in a fun, interactive learning program.  We will primarily be teaching Dominican and Nicaragua children in the 1st - 4th grade.   No teaching experience or Spanish knowledge is necessary.

We are brave enough to build futures. We have the courage to transform lives. We dare to change the world. Do you dare?

Outreach360 is a forward thinking organization that understands the importance of educating future generations. Running camps in Monte Cristi was an invaluable way to spend 3 weeks of my summer. I learned just as much, if not more, from the kids in the community than they learned from me. These kids were a breath of fresh air - they were eager to learn, anxious to please, and full of love and energy.

In the countries where Outreach360 works, students lack the fundamental values of Character Education that allow them to make positive life choices. Our Dare to Dream Program focuses on building character values like Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Citizenship, which provide students with the tools they need to successfully interact in their communities.

An essential component of our curriculum for transforming lives focuses on building the skills needed to escape poverty and transform one's life. Our Dare to Dream Program teaches crucial skills like Decision Making, Public Speaking, Creative Thinking, Problem Solving, Non-Violent Communication, and Self-Reliance, which prepare students to successfully transform their lives.

The culminating component of our Dare to Dream Program centers on guiding students to visualize the opportunities and possibilities in life and demonstrating how they are attainable. The key to Dream Building is eliminating the possibility of poverty from their futures and empowering students through Vocational Awareness, Career Options, College Opportunities, Life Planning, and Taking Action
