Ripon College Assists with Super Storm Sandy Relief Efforts

Doing more together takes on a whole new meaning when devastating natural disasters impact our friends across the nation.  Although the true effects of Super Storm Sandy will continue to play out over the next weeks and months, at Ripon College we know that immediate relief should not have to wait.  Therefore we are partnering with the American Red Cross to make it easy for students, staff and faculty to make a difference in the lives of those affected by Sandy.  Right now the most immediate need is shelter and the American Red Cross is asking everyone to donate at a level they feel comfortable which will allow trained disaster response units to provide these services.  Everyone is encouraged to visit http://www.redcross.org/ and read about the current response efforts and donate.
The Ripon College Office of Community Engagement (OCE) will continue to be in contact with the American Red Cross and will assist with campus relief efforts as needed.  Future efforts may include specific supply drives and/or in-person clean-up programs.  For the most up to date information please visit the OCE at www.doingmoretogether.blogspot.com or to ask specific questions about how you can be involved in the relief effort contact us at oce@ripon.edu.
